Loveland-Madeira Corridor Redevelopment & Streetscaping
Spring - Fall 2021
Part of McBride Dale Clarion Internship
Loveland, OH has a charming downtown with parks, a bike path, restaurants, and more. However, the main commercial corridor connecting to this downtown is an eyesore. The Loveland Comprehensive Master Plan was adopted in July 2022, and a substantial portion of the plan is dedicated to the redevelopment of the city’s major commercial corridor: Loveland-Madeira Road. I worked on a small team to generate recommendations that would incorporate the charm of the downtown district into this commercial area. I created graphics that showed the potential of the corridor to become more welcoming for pedestrians and better for the environment. In addition to providing supportive GIS services, I thought creatively to imagine a better future for this corridor.
